FreeBSD has been around for a long time. As a public service, I'm making the installation CDs for two very old FreeBSD versions, 3.2 and 4.0, available for download. They're ISO disk images which have been compressed using lz4
.
I'd recommend against using these on modern hardware; there's a good chance they won't work. However, they may be useful for other purposes, such as demonstrating when particular features made it into FreeBSD or running on old hardware.

You can find an archive of old FreeBSD version releases at freebsd.org. These CD-ROM images may be easier to install, however.
